Yuru Yuri 2
Okay, so I gave the first episode a go, despite now having seen the first season deliberately. I didn’t care for it. The comedy wasn’t that great and the artwork just isn’t really my style. It takes all sorts to make a world, right?
I know I just said that the artwork isn’t my style, but even I have to admit that it doesn’t look that bad. It’s pretty detailed and cute, but no… I don’t like the style. I do have to give credit where credit is due though. The characters look very good. They’re the type of characters that you could recognize out of a line-up, so I have to give the anime thumbs up for that.
The story however isn’t that original. It’s just another anime about schoolgirls trying to create a club of their own. Sound familiar? It should. I just wrote a review about Tari Tari, yet another anime where the characters are trying to create a club. No… absolutely not original.
I know it sound strange, especially after you actually read the text above, but I do recommend this anime to all Moe lovers. The characters look adorable and are constantly doing all sorts of funny things together. I wouldn’t be amazed to see a whole group of grown men, drooling in awe as Kyouko jumps about a bit.
Plot Summary: Right after starting middle school, Akari Akaza joins the Amusement Club which is composed solely by her two childhood friends, Kyouko Toshinou and Yui Funami. Chinatsu Yoshikawa, Akaza’s classmate, becomes a member after finding out about the dissolution of the Tea Club.
The Amusement Club, situated at the tea room facility since the Tea Club disbanded, has no clear purpose, being free for the girls to do whatever they want.
