Yuushibu episode 11

Great, now I find it even harder to take Yuushibu serious. I actually thought we arrived at the serious part of the story. I thought that I was going to see a dramatic episode filled with action, but no… Comedy seems to conquer all.

[HorribleSubs] Yuushibu - 11 [720p].mkv_snapshot_09.15_[2013.12.15_23.30.12]I thought for sure that things were going to get better. Raul found out that Fino had been kidnapped by the people that he used to call his friends. People that desperately want to become heroes again by making Fino accept the position of demon overlord. I still find it very difficult to disagree with them to be honest.

I imagine that they trained their whole lives to become heroes. They learned how to wield a weapon, how their enemies think and fight, and probably where and when to strike. They probably spent many years preparing. For what? To end up as peasants because the world doesn’t need heroes anymore. That has got to hurt…

[HorribleSubs] Yuushibu - 11 [720p].mkv_snapshot_13.44_[2013.12.15_23.30.23]I thought that things were going to get crazy, especially when Fino started to lose her mind when she thought that Raul got killed. I seriously hoped that she would go nuts and destroys those guys. What happened? Comedy took over and turned this entire episode into a disturbing disappointment. Never mind that Airi’s outfit was pretty darn sexy. Never mind that nobody actually died. Why the hell didn’t anyone take this seriously? Even that perverted old man showed up… Why!? I seriously expected so much more from this week’s episode… I bet rescuing Fino won’t be all that different.

Yuushibu episode 11 screencaps

  1. I think it was pretty okay. It could’ve been better and they could’ve shown a bit more of Fino after she ‘transformed’, but all-in-all a pretty good episode. Comedy is normal in Yuushibu.

  2. To be quite honest I have nothing but contempt for Raul’s friends.
Yes you are right that losing a dream to become a hero has to hurt and you can understand them. Except… they didn’t want to become heroes. They wanted a nice, comfortable life filled with luxury and happiness. But that’s not what heroes are.
Heroes are not just soldiers or warriors, they are people who uphold principles and ideals. They fight for the weak, they conquer evil, they bring peace to the world.
By wishing for the Demon Lord to come back those guys became an anti-thesis of what heroes should be. They put their own needs above those of the people they wished to protect. They wanted to recreate a system which brought nothing but pain and misery to thousands of people and demons. To be quite honest I would be happy if those two got brutally butchered by some demon and be done with them.
They weren’t heroes, they were wannabe celebrities who whined because their five minutes of glory got taken away from them.
