Zetsuen no Tempest episode 12

It’s about damn time something happened! I was starting to think that we’d have to wait longer before anything finally happened. Oh, before I forget; I have it from a very reliable source that Zetsuen no Tempest has twenty-two episodes. It’s not official yet, but that’s what I have been told.

It gets really boring at one point, but this episode pretty much made up for all of that. It would’ve been very bad if it continued like the last two or three weeks, seeing as the ratings slightly dropped after last week’s episode.

This episode, although only the first part, was about when. They already discovered how to bring Hakaze back, they already know where, it was just a matter of when, which pretty much depended on Hakaze finding something to sacrifice to invoke the magic. Not sure I like the idea of a magical tree helping her out though.

To sum it all up; Mahiro started the quest, Yoshino joined up soon after and became the schemer, both of them spent a lot of time making talismans and it was all for this. It was all to bring Hakaze back from the past, just so that she can undo what her brother has done to the world. All of it is pretty much Samon’s doing.

That being said, why is it that Mahiro and Yoshino had to pay the ultimate price of his stupidity? Yoshino got his stomach sliced open, Mahiro got his pierced and Samon stood by and watched (unharmed). Hakaze had to sacrifice that powerful talisman in order to try and save Yoshino, but what about Mahiro? What will Samon sacrifice to save him? I’ll be anxiously waiting to find out, because surely a sword can’t be enough to save a person’s life!

Zetsuen no Tempest episode 12 screencaps

  1. Samon sacrificed his katana to save Mahiro. they showed that in the episode.

    • I am aware of that, but the manga has been very vague on that. Their law states, very much like in Full Metal Alchemist, that magic is a proces of equivalent trade. I don’t know whether they’re going to alter the manga’s story a bit or if it’s really going to be that vague.
